When you sign up for Paliero, we collect your name, email address, school name, and password. When students take tests, we collect their name, email (if required by the school), and test responses including text and audio recordings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the Paliero platform, including creating and managing tests, scoring submissions, and generating reports. We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage

All data is stored in Montreal, Canada on Supabase infrastructure. We use Canadian data centers exclusively to comply with Canadian privacy and data residency requirements.

4. Data Retention

School data is retained for the duration of the subscription. Upon cancellation, data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion. Schools can request immediate deletion by contacting us.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Paliero:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (Montreal, Canada)
• Vercel — application hosting
• Resend — transactional emails

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. All file uploads use presigned URLs with short expiration times.
